Dust Extraction Structure, Northland

We were engaged to carry out the structural design of a structural steel structure in a Northland quarry site. Significant challenges were overcome due to the size of the structure and having to construct it above an existing building.

The platform is approximately 12m high, built above an existing industrial building roof to support two new dust collectors and two walkways at the top of the dust collectors. In addition, NCL were engaged to design a 10m long steel linkage walkway to link the proposed working platform from the existing ground.

We worked closely with the clients to produce a cost-effective design to suit the site conditions and meet stringent client design requirements.
