Mail Sortation Conveyor Structure, Wellington

As part of a $170 million mail sortation facility, NCL were engaged to prepare structural design documentation and carry out construction monitoring of the conveyor support structure.

This was a complex project that required close coordination with many parties, including the building designers, conveyor system suppliers, clients and contractors.

This project featured a 190 square metre, 5.5m high structural steel and timber working platform along with numerous accessways, stairways, bracing frames and conveyor support structures.

Working on a project in Wellington was no problem, as our experience and expertise on this type of project and remote working more than made up for the distance between our office and the project site.

We used the latest 3D modelling software to successfully coordinate the structural design and detailing with other parties during the design stage, the end result being a smooth construction phase, and happy clients and contractors.
